Entry Fee

An all inclusive £15,000 GBP per person.

We have various payment options  available, so please email us and we can discuss the options as well as sponsorship and fund-raising tips.

Entry fee includes:

• Flights from UK to Copenhagen and then on to Kangerlussuaq

• Flights from Kulusuk to Reykjavik, Iceland and return to the UK

• Overnight at airport hotel in Copenhagen if necessary

• Overnight in Reykjavik (breakfast included)

• All transfers within Greenland

• Transfers to and from airport and hotel in Reykjavik

• 2 nights guest house accommodation in Kangerlussuaq; includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and based on shared rooms

• 2 nights guest house accommodation in Kulusuk; includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and based on shared rooms

• All airport taxes in Iceland and Greenland

• Outward/return haulage charges for transfer of freight from Devon race headquarters to/from freight shipping terminal UK

• Sea freight of food & equipment from UK port to Iceland

• Air freight of food & equipment from Reykjavik, Iceland to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland

• Haulage charges for transfer of freight within Iceland from port to airport

• Freight terminal handling, storage and transfer charges in UK

• Freight terminal handling, storage and transfer charges in Iceland

• Freight terminal handling, storage and transfer charges in Greenland

• All freight customs and export/import documentation charges throughout

• Customs duty on food imported into Greenland

• Costs of race staff checking and sorting your freight at destination

• Return of above freight from Greenland to UK via Iceland using reverse of freight logistics outlined above

• Radio and shotgun permits

• Danish government ice permit to cross Greenland

• Arrangement and payment of the insurance

• Arrangement of paperwork involved in the special compulsory insurance declaration to the Danish authorities

• Expedition food snacks and drinks for race

• Fuel and stoves for entire race

• Ski pack (including skis, bindings, spare bindings, ski-poles, skins and wax)

• Team / individual gear including: tents, sleds, harness, stoves, skis, safety equipment, shovel etc

• Navigation equipment including GPS and maps and all navigational points

• Communication equipment, satellite phone, batteries x2, charging unit and solar panel

• Technical clothing and footwear

• Epirb / PLB (per team)

• Mini flare packs

• Polar Bear deterrents including shotgun, ammunition and flares

• Full medical support on the icecap

• 24hr Base camp and administration during the race from UK

• Race coordinators expertise in planning and preparation leading up to race

• Race staff (world-class polar guides having guided a combined 40+ polar expeditions & adventures)

• All office, admin and support fees/expenses

• All Race coordinators expenses in Iceland & Greenland whilst co-ordinating logistics

• Polar Cold Weather Training

• Daily online expedition blogs for friends and family back home on race website

• All team expedition kit, personal hard wear

• Official Greenland Crossing certificate upon completion

• Baggage allowance up to 77lbs (35 kg)

• Race branded polo shirt, expedition patch, and photo book of race.

• Return flights, accommodation and meals to cold weather training package

• Insurance for cold weather training package

• Guides Fees for cold weather training package

• Accommodation and meals for Devon training weekend

Not Included:

• Travel costs to and from the UK departure points and UK return arrival points (e.g. Heathrow airport). This applies for both training trips and the race.

• Additional personal equipment, clothing and accessories

• Overweight / Excess baggage costs

• Any extra costs you may incur if the expedition runs overtime or if your flights are delayed or cancelled

• Any costs involved due to a ‘force majeure’ that changes the race (Insurance)

• Alcoholic beverages

• Travel to the Devon training weekend

• Delivery /postage of your personal equipment to the race head quarters in Bristol for onward freighting to Iceland, or after arrival back in UK

• Food and meals bought locally in Iceland (breakfast and dinner is included)

• Food and meals bought locally in Greenland at Kulusuk, Kangerlussuaq or airports outside race fee.

• Personal taxi or bus fares in Iceland on free day

• Personal satellite telephone calls at GBP £2 per minute

• Personal expenses when attending the training package

• Personal expenses and meals in Copenhagen if necessary to overnight (breakfast will be included)

• Personal rescue / medical evacuation costs (You will have to pay for this personally and then claim back on your insurance if applicable)
